About Dr. Regina Nicolosi
Psychologist, speech-language pathologist, and PhD in Communication. With 40 years of clinical practice as a speech-language pathologist and over 10 years as a psychologist, Dr. Regina Nicolosi holds a doctorate in Human Communication. She uses her expertise to support and assist people in finding solutions to the challenges they face—whether related to their voice or their emotions.
Mental health is a cornerstone of her work; as she often says, her focus is on people, and we all need mental health to live a balanced life. In recent years, she has dedicated her career to addressing issues relevant to women—particularly those over 40—covering topics such as motherhood, marriage, relationships in general, career, life journeys, dreams, loneliness, fears, personal development, longevity, and aging.
These and other universal human issues, when experienced by women in midlife and beyond, can lead to suffering, confusion, and paralyzing fears. Consequently, her work has been invaluable to many women, helping them find answers and viable paths forward through a supportive environment and appropriate guidance.

Chapter Theme
HAPPINESS, LONGEVITY, AND EMBRACING PAIN: HOW TO REFRAME LIFE IN TIMES OF ACCELERATION AND DISCONNECTION
In the book's afterword, Dr. Regina Nicolosi invites the reader to reflect on the emotional challenges of contemporary life—a life marked by hyperconnectivity, an overload of stimuli, and a growing disconnection from both oneself and others.
Drawing on a background in psychology and communication, as well as her extensive clinical experience, the author demonstrates that happiness does not mean the absence of suffering, but rather the capacity to find meaning in one's existence, even in the face of loss and adversity.
By addressing topics such as mental health, excessive technology use, human relationships, suicidal behavior, aging, and longevity, Dr. Regina highlights the importance of acceptance, attentive listening, and emotional bonds as pillars for building well-being.
It is a sensitive and profound invitation to transform pain into learning, strengthen hope, and understand that living longer only makes sense when we also learn to live better.
