INVITED: FEDERAL DEPUTY GIOVANNI CHERINI
THE INTRODUCTION

In the presentation of "Felicidade e Longevidade – Como cultivar saúde mental e bem-viver no trabalho e na vida", Federal Deputy Giovani Cherini establishes a symbolic connection between his public career and the purpose of the work. He recounts that, upon receiving the invitation to write the preface to the book, he was elected president of the Health Committee of the Chamber of Deputies—a fact he interprets as synchronicity and alignment of mission.

As coordinator of the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Defense of Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health and Happiness, he reinforces his commitment to the implementation of Integrative and Complementary Practices in the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) and to public policies focused on integral well-being. His approach articulates science, spirituality, mental health, and management, arguing that happiness and longevity are not merely abstract ideals, but structuring strategies for the future of the country.

The presentation contextualizes data on population aging and quality of life in Brazil, underlining the urgency of promoting self-care, emotional balance, and purpose. By comparing the book's initiative to the hummingbird's attitude in the face of a fire, Cherini positions the work as a collective movement of responsibility and social transformation, calling on readers and leaders to take a leading role in building a healthier, more conscious, and longer life.
